New Hi-Gloss Bedroom Furniture Ranges from Gleneagle

A few years ago a high gloss (or Hi Gloss) finish on furniture was considered tacky. Everything had to be in a wood effect (pine, beech, oak, maple and so on) or very minimalistic (or both).

The look of gloss finished doors or drawer fronts with a wood frames was something more akin to the late 70’s and early 80’s, and many of us could look back at our photos of that time and see something along those lines adorning our bedroom or living room.

However, today this style is once again in popular demand. Why? It’s that whole concept of styles coming back around again. What was cool becomes tacky, what was tacky becomes retro, and what is retro becomes cool and fashionable – the circle is complete.

Now that isn’t to say we want the same tacky furniture we had back in 1980, of course we don’t, what we want is a similar style but in quality materials, built to last and designed to impress.

Well Gleneagle Furniture (not one to be behind the current styles) have stepped up once again with several hi gloss finish furniture ranges – the Carlton Range, the Clarion Range, The Savoy Range and the Shelbourne Range. However as the Savoy range is more of a minimalistic white bedroom furniture range, we’ll leave that for now and look at the Clarion and Carlton ranges.

Now the first thing about these bedroom ranges you will notice it they are very similar, and by similar I mean the same. That’s because they are, with the obvious exception of the fact the Carlton range is in a hi gloss black finish and the Carlton in hi gloss white, but the point is they are offering choice in finish but still both retaining the same great quality and style you expect of Gleneagle Furniture.

Both these bedroom sets have a dark walnut wood finish on the main frame word, but the doors and drawers are all in a hi gloss finish based on the range you want. Blanket boxes have a front panel that matches the gloss finish, and beds have a inset in the headboard and bed footer with the same styling.

You can get the same furniture items for each of these bedroom furniture sets including wardrobes (double and single) dressers and stools, bedside units, drawer chests, beds in differing sizes, mirrors and more meaning each provides a complete bedroom solution. As a matter of fact at Furniture Store 247 we have both single bed and double bed furniture sets for both the Clarion and Carlton ranges, saving you money and you can add to it with individual items as you wish.

So if you are looking for something a little retro, but stylish and quality for your bedroom, check out the Clarion Hi Gloss and Carlton Hi Gloss ranges from Gleneagle.

Dining Room Chairs....... Everywhere!

Dining room chairs. They’re very simple and standard piece of dining room furniture; a core part really. If you have a dining room (and yes, some people don’t) then you’re going to have dining chairs and if not well you’re probably going to need them.

So what choices are there out there? Well that’s the thing, there are so many. Assuming you don’t need an entire dining room suite and you have the dining table already and maybe even sideboards, then you need the right chairs to compliment them.

Surely it can’t be that hard though? Well that’s the thing; buying new dining chairs can be easy, assuming you aren’t to concerned what they look like. The thing is almost all of us do care. We all tend to have very specific tastes and want our house to look like our ideal image. So much so that we’ll often not buy that matching dining table and chairs as we only like the look of the dining table, or the dining chairs.

One such influence on why we have these newer ideals is media input. Shows we see on TV demonstrate different ways and styles to make you home look special and unique, or even ways to spiritually harmonise your rooms.

Back to the dining chairs where do we start? Well you have your different materials to start with; wood or metal? If it’s wood are we looking for hardwood, ash, oak, pine beech or something else, even within those there are different types of oak and hardwood, and of course do we want these veneered or natural?

Metal has a few less choices as typically it will be a chrome effect or perhaps a brushed aluminium finish. Of course there are also combinations of metal and wood dining chairs, just to make things more varied.

Then there is the upholstering. It’s rare a dining chair is going to be simply wood or metal. You have various materials such from leather, suede and cotton, to leather-look and faux leather.

Finally the design, do you go for classic, contemporary, modern, retro or something in between? The amount of designs available in dining room chairs in almost limitless, so having an idea of what you want will always help point you in the right direction.

So to sum up, yes it can be daunting finding the right dining chairs, but the reason is because the wealth of choice and having such an open palette to choose from can only be a good thing as it allows you to add that individual stamp to your dining room.

For a vast range of dining chairs visit www.furniturestore247.co.uk. Our stock includes wooden and metal frames, with various styles upholstery (our leather look Guinness Chairs are one of our best sellers and very popular) and chair designs to suit your needs.
